I'm glad you like them Flcrazy. I'd forgotten how wonderful it is out here. And as I collected these pic, ('specially for the GOY folks I might add..:-)) I realized how I wasn't seeing any homes, no roads, I couldn't hear a thing but the birds and the wind. Reminds me why I put up with the dark cold winter...lol.

You are so right! there is something about the dark silence of night in such places that is primal!

These are plutons, the granite center of old old volcanoes. The whole thing wears off leaving just the granite center standing alone. Lots of water erosion in these shapes now as well.
