Hi Michaella and glad you liked the photos. I must say its a real joy gardening in Cyprus, because everything grows so quickly. Would you believe our garden is only 5.5 years old. We live in a village 600 metres above sea level, so we are slightly restricted by what we can grow in the way of Mediterranean plants. Our village is the last stop before driving on to the Paphos forest - keep going and you will eventually reach the west coast, which is particularly noted for its excellent growing climate, including many citrus fruits, avocado, vegetables etc. Availability in the shops here is very seasonal, so you can be sure of very fresh local produce. Parsnips tend to be imported and are really awful by the time they reach the shops here, hence the need to grow our own. I love them roasted too and, yes, we still have roast beef and Yorkshire pud in the winter months.
