That's why we virtually live in there! I have my breakfast and lunch in there! I can watch the birds on the feeder to my left, too.

What a treat! the long view is great too. what is that fountain of grass in the background oatgrass or miscanthus? This is why we labour...so that when we take our ease... we can view our efforts made real in a refuge like this... bon apetite!!

Umm - Errrr It's Stipa gigantea, Lori, I don't know its common name. You are right, I always yearned for a Conservatory, but never got one at our prsvious house, so when we got here on retirement, we spent our savings on the room which is very special. It's made of oak and has oak beams too. Mike asked me to take photos inside it so I will at some point! Over here, the planning laws on a historic listed house are very strict. We had to match the stone base walls and the roofing tiles to the house to get permission to build it. Quite right too - a PVC Conservatory would look dreadful in this situation -out of place and wrong. Cheaper, though! LOL.
