waiting for the ferry

I realized after seeing the close up of this photo that this is not a pine for some reason in my memory I thought it was....not sure what it is...anyone know?

It looks like an owl. Is it? Great picture though.

its whats called a monkey puzzle tree.if you touch one you will know why.
the name came from a european as monkies never live with them.it is also one of the oldest forms of life on the planet.way before any animal lived and they still looked like this.mad hay im full of usless info lol hope ive helped

hmmm... I thought it was a succulent known as Donkey's Tail...lol. but no...It isn't. Monkey Puzzle trees are native to Chile and are usually pretty picky about where they are sited...is this on Public Land...or a private garden...they're expensive trees and very picky about drainage...don't like a lot of winter moisture..from what I've read.

This tree is actually in a the yard of someones home close to the ferry dock in Edmonds Washington...it is situated on a bluff over a salty windy bay. The birds all landing in it is what drew my eye to it.

Those look like morning doves on the stem

The tree was covered in these little grey birds..and yes I have to agree..it had so many limbs compared to a monkey puzzle tree.. I just imagine they are of the same family.
