This is a very beautiful shrub that can grown to be 12+ feet tall in favorable conditions (I have seen them this tall). The flowers are scarlet and incredibly showy as you can tell. They are very easy to grow as long as they receive regular water.

I have read this plant can grown in areas where it gets cold in winter (USDA Zones 8a-9a). It will die down to the ground and regrow when temperature warm.

Marguerite,
You're very welcome. I don't have this plant but I do have Odontonema callistachyum which has foot-long spikes of hot-pink or purblish flowers.
My plant should be blooming soon.
