Hi Rob,
I'm afraid I'm not much use on this one. This photo was taken just after I bought this Hosta last autumn, shortly before the leaves fell off for winter. It was this size when I got it and I'm yet to see fresh growth this year - am just hoping they're OK :o)

Ahhh!!!! so thats how you do it ! I've got a huge "Patriot" that I'm sure needs dividing, can I take the buds from the outer edge of the clump and pot them up as you have done.??
