Lovely colour Gwenda and these really attract the butterflies don't they.

They certainly do! Helped with my runner beans this summer. Only veg I grew but hope to have a proper little veg plot next spring so will be planting lots of insect loving plants - any suggestions?

How about a wild flower patch, near the veg, purple and yellow flowers, beebalm. centaura or cornflower, poppies, calendula to keep the white fly and aphids down. I should have a look at old fashioned cottage gardening, they always planted flowers amongst the veg.
