Ended Annuals in Heap

Ended Annuals in Heap

Last moments for these guys. I hadn't realized bidens would be a bush I could bring in. Maybe next year. The end of summer color, ah me.

Pressing flowers on paper towels in large books seems to help me. Not that they keep much semblance of their former selves, but I like to discover them at a later time & remember them in all their splendor once again. : }

Oh, I'll be collecting them tomorrow. Wonderful idea. Hope I get no moisture tonight.

The answer is to take lots of pics and maybe make up an album when the weather is awful and you can't get out in the garden.

Good idea Arlene. I plan to use our wonderful GOY to rvisit and revisit my garden and see others who aren't as cold as well. :-) My garden here needs some definite organizing. :-)

Is there anything that would survive the Winter with colour Greenthumb? Is it too cold for the dogwoods?

I visit the univ botanical garden often to see what she has come up with to test overwintering. Some things come through no one would expect, but they might not look so great. I've such a frosty breeze compared to that location that I wrap most things up anyway. I have some azaleas all wrapped that I found as a bargain to see what happens. Dogwoods are colorul through winter but the returning sun starts things up before hard freezes are finished and kills them off. Thats the real risk. I'm determined to get some rearities and my azalea test will be just the thing. I'll keep you posted. :-)
