Found2of these Caterpilairs in My Flower Bed :) 2

It looks like a mini snake. Do they move by humping up their backs and pushing forward?

No GG it crawled along ,It could stand on its back legs if any help :D

Oh Jacque this looks the same as Hywels pic - did you find it on or near a fuschia? Looks like elephant hawk moth so named because caterpillars resemble an elephants trunk.They turn into big beautiful pink tinted moths.

Depends on your view jacque I wouldnt mind them as they dont breed like mad google elephant hawk moth for a pic . I think they are beautiful and whilst they eat fuschia leaves will not kill plant as this would eventually kill them by drying up their food source.

Others will say yuk kill it so choice is yours Jacque.
