Feel a little sad, noticed this week that the partner of this dove as disappeared, hope it is just a temporary absence, but with each day that goes by I fear that something nasty has happened to it. I suppose that this is nature but it is upsetting all the same.

I've just seen some photos a friend took of a Sparrowhawk settled for a while on a bird table near her house window. They are getting bolder !

What a great idea!, fancy myself as a match maker! problem is that they all look the the same to me cant tell the sexes apart which might not go down well!

Pansypotter ~
Yes. We three will be interviewing all the hopeful dove contestants.
We'll be similar to panels on Strictly Come Dancing and the X Factor
But we need one more person to make up the foursome.
Who would you suggest?
Can't be Cluelesskev. He's still missing.
:o)

Well a bit of good news, He`s Back! they visited together this afternoon looking all lovey dovey. I think he must have heard about the coming interviews and panicked thinking he may be ousted for good! so interviews postphoned for the time being. unless of course Amy would like a partner for her dove! :}

So pleased about the lovey doveys.
Hoping for a photo of the reunited duo?
Match-making interviews can go on hold. :o)
It might have been tough working out if a dove had a good sense of humour............

That's sad.
Sparrowhawks seem to be targeting Collared Doves in gardens.
These doves are an easy meal because they perch out in the open like sitting ducks.
Several times this year a Sparrowhawk, appearing as if from nowhere, has swooped down on Collared Doves in my garden, and it's only spotting me at the last minute, that causes the hawk to veer off.
Let's hope your lonely dove finds a new friend soon. :o)
