Yes, Uncinia rubra it's called. Been admiring it for a couple of weeks at arden centre and had spare container so just had to have it! Spring bulbs planted around it too.

I had one of those in the middle of a large pot last year - it had to go when I changed the plants but later I found a seedling which I potted up and it's doing well! So watch out for them, Gwenda. Free plants can't be bad, can they?

Hi Gwendas
like the contrast~love black grass but not sure whether mine is the same under another name.Mine is Ophiopogon Planiscapus Nigrescens which is a bit of a mouthful!.Has purple/black flowers and then black berries.Very easy to grow-can send you a rooted cutting if you want>

Hi Arlene that would be great! Will send my address to your site. Is yours best in sun or will it tolerate some shade?

~seems to be happy in both-have got one large bowl with about 5 plants with cyclamen and in that the grass is growing well although the cyclamen seem to be being overpowered. That has been at the front of the house and the back!
I have had my first plant for a long time and it is now in a 14" plastic urn and have taken numerous little runners off which have all produced plants. We were somewhere recently-not sure where as we have been away a lot this year and they had a sea of it with tall black stemmed Agapanthus behind and that looked stunning!
Also good against pink cyclamen.~
