We grow quite a lot of our own veg during the summer months using a series of raised beds. The beds are narrow enough that we never walk on the soil. We work a three year rotation. I am a strong believer in well rotted manure to feed and condition the soil.

I'm drooling at the thought of all that fresh veg! I've never grown many veg, always had to choose between flowers and food but I do love them freshly picked. Thankfully Hamish used to supply quite a few from his plot. ;o)
