Taken at the conservatory.

Marguerite- I looked it up and it's a type of bromeliad called 'Tillandsia' or 'Tilly'. Someone on this site grows these...maybe Ams or Hywel, I can't remember. You spray them to water them. I used to have one and I let it dry out, and it died.
Gardengnome- Sorry for any confusion, but unfortunately this is not my conservatory. My latest series of photos were taken at the California Academy of Sciences and at San Francisco's Conservatory of Flowers. I have a blog on this, but have been too busy uploading pictures to write much in the blog...maybe someday :)

You do have some unusual selections in your conservatory.
