They actually like the full-sun. I think they just wanted one to be represented in this lath house with a name tag. There's a variegated form of the palm which needs to be planted in semi-shade or it will sun-burn.
Are there many of these fairly new hybrid palms in your area?
We have many of these trees coming in from Hawaii.
