Jubaeopsis caffra - Pondoland Palm

This is a very unusual site...to see the palm this large in the United States. This palm from what I've read was planted in 1939...it may take a century or more to attain the mature height of 50 feet

These trees are closely allied to the coconut palms. Actually these palms are very neat palms. The picture is not very good because of the lighting and many other plants around. I'll attach another clearer picture.
