Jubaea chilensis - Chilean Wine Palm

This palm is pretty widely grown in parts of California. They have the largest trunk of any known palm...more than 3 feet in diameter.
They are slow growers and large trees are very old.
Sorry, for the unclear picture...the lighting was not very good.

I just notice your comment. This palm is native to central Chile...just north of Santiago.
