We built this bed early Spring 08, our choice of herbs has had to be modified, some grew too big and immediately bolted. The mint is in a seperate container behind. It has been a joy to go and clip a few before cooking.

Have you grown lovage yet? It's a great tasting herb, does get a bit rampant once it's established, and very very tall, but I think it's brilliant. Give it a try.
If only I could find my seeds, I could send some throught the post for you!

Great herb bed! I also enjoy the luxury of being able to walk out and pick fresh herbs, tried to grow a few more this year.

Thanks to Gillian and Marquerite, I am not a bad cook. been able to spend more time at it now I have retired. When I was working, if I could not cook it in 20 minutes to half an hour, we did not eat it. Now I have the time and energy to do "proper" cooking.
