Variegated Holly

This Holly tree must have been at least 20ft tall and was covered in beautiful orange berries. Someone told me that Holly trees only bear serrated leaves on their lower branches to ward off hungry animals. I checked and yes the leaves were smooth edged higher up!

I never knew this, thanks for posting this info. I also have a couple variegated hollies, but they are still young yet.
