It's sad that lots of Horse Chestnut trees are currently threatened by disease etc.

Ohhhh Yes Jacque there,s nothing quite like grubbing around looking for your own Chestnuts is there , they are good ones as well , I don,t think there will be many left soon , the wind was bringing them down fast , the deer love them .

My grandad had a chestnut tree in his garden and we used to love roasting them in an old pan on the bonfire - tasty!
