This was nearby the garden pond. I think it might be an orchid. I snapped a pic of it as they were getting ready to close the garden. So I didn't get to check for a sign.

Definately orchid, and quite an orchid it is. I can't class it. Its beautiful.

When I first saw this picture it looked like a gloriosa type lily to me. Then I remembered that I photographed a Physchopsis Mendenhall 'Hildos' species of orchid at the county fair that looks very similar to this.
