Thanks Marguerite. This photo was taken as I was climbing up that stairway after parking the car in the new carpark, (an ingenious terraced work of art that was built on what was a hillside that you can see in some of my older photos on page 5). I originally intended to immortalise the sunset and found the olive tee was in the way! I had the camera on automatic flash which of course was helped by the lamps dotted along the steps.

Aleyna, this olive tree has been left where it has been growing undisturbed for a long long time - it is considered almost sacrilegious to uproot olive trees !!

Very interesting!! Such a strong and large trunk for short branches.... lovely idea about let them grow undisturbed.. I wish we would have that luck with our chestnut trees here...
