This papaya is commonly sold in nurseries and home improvement stores. It is an edible fruit that taste more like a cross between a cucumber and a papaya.

The problem I had was the fruit didn't ripen into December I think it was,and storms would knock the fruit off. The plant was hardy. Lived for years and died when I moved it and then forgot to water it regularly.
I'm now into Mangoes- lol.
