Liriodendron Tulipfera. (Tulip Poplar) Not sure you would want a 90 foot tall tree in your garden though :o)

Thanks for this, Fleurdemai, but ... ha ha, I've actually got one! Well mine is a Tulip Tree, I presume its the same as the Poplar? It's only about 10 feet tall at the moment. Strong winds broke the leading branch last year and we were advised to cut it down but we left it and it seems OK, the leaves are as big as dinner plates!!! You can just see it on my weeping willow shot, to the left, opposite the gunnera. We'll enjoy it until it gets too big. Regards, Dawn

Hi Mayflower and Auntie! Flcrazy has a pic of the blossom among her photos. (was posted last spring) thought you might enjoy a look at her tree's blossom. Great specimen, wish I had another 40 years, I'd plant one myself.
