This was a mass of Salmon berry bushes when we moved here. We could not even see the ocean. A lot of sweat & hard labour.

Yum, salmonberries....I grew up on Bowen Island (not far from you) and loved the salmonberries that grew wild. You have a beautiful home/gardens. Lucky you.
Not to confuse you...I moved to the UK in 1983 from B.C.
