Lovely photo.I have loads of snow photos to put up but thought I had better wait until the proper time lol.

Greenthumb we get snow here where I live but it isn't the really deep amount or at the right time like we used to get when I was a child growing up.One reason why I take a lot of photos when we do get some

I always thought the snow was deeper when I was growing up too...now I wonder if it isn't that i am tall now and was short then...LOL..~Cj

Growing up we had snow 1-2ft deep every year, now my hometown is lucky to see six or more inches built up. Even here in alaska, we haven't seen the many feet we used to, so the permafrost underground has been depleting. Our frozen coastal shelves are eroding into the ocean, glaciers becoming dirty specks.......I don't think its the same as it was.

I hear so many different views on the warming...and why it happens, manmade or not. I think the earth has to have its cycles...we really have not been here and able to keep records all that long...but it is something we do need to be aware of as in not being careless with the earth...we are of the earth and we should act like we love ourselves enough to be gentle & caring of the earth.

thats a very good comment catfinch we should love the earth more for our children and childrens children here we have 3 recycling bins and have been told we all doing well.but know this community has bin told that our recycling has bin in vain as our depot is the worse in the country how sad is that?

It is never in vain..all you can do is what you can do in your space, so keep up the good work.

A winter wonderland. I like how you're showing the same area in different seasons. Even more amazing is that you took a color photo and it's black and white. Or is it really black and white?

hi Gardengnome,It is in fact a colour photo I upset my cats and dogs that morning because I would not allow them outside until I had taken my photo,s.

I'm sure they got over being upset and you got a nice unspoiled photo!

Hello Lincslass. We still get some winters like this here in Hungary. By the way I used to live in Scotter, Lincs in 1970's and I do remember some snow there too.
