Alluaudia procera - Madagascan Ocotillo

I always though this plant was native to the Southern California deserts. It is a native of Madagascar. This is a small specimen...the larger specimens were unfortunately in bad lighting.
This plant grows very tall up to 30 or 40 feet tall.
I just found out this plant cannot tolerate freezing temperatures or it will die.
