these photos show the new border, looks a bit tatty but hey its nearly winter and its only new, the pipe is musa basjoo under cover for the winter, agpanthus behind and phormium behind that, the ugly fence behind wont be visible for much longer, because next to the compost bin is a small but quickly establishing hydrangea pteolaris and I will be adding jasmine and a well estalished clematis

The hydrangea will soon grow by the compost bin.
Is this a shady border?
