Ornamental Cabbages

I like these .do you have to grow them in pots,.or will be the ok in the border?

Janette - I just saw seeds of ornamental cabbage in the new Mr fothergill's catalogue. "Tokyo Mixed" sounds like it should have plants of many colours (40 seeds £1.95) or there is a deep purple variety called "Purple Pigeon" (25 seeds £1.95).

I love these! Seen them a lot in magazines and have thought about doing a large container using them. Any ideas what with?

Sorry, Lori, but these are purely ornamental. I aim to try growing these myself from seed next year.
