I planted this tree when we moved into this house 19 years ago as a whip 2 feet high, it is now higher than my 2 storey house, it seems to have infiltrated a land drain bordering my garden so consequently never goes short of water

Are you in Scotland then ?
I'm sure the weather isn't that bad there.

wow you guys are on the ball, 2 minutes after entering this picture, and I get a response, well let me put it this way, in the whole summer this year we've been able to sit out only about half a dozen times but having said that it's ben a terrible summer all over Britain

expecting better weather next summer, hope so anyway, because I am cultivating two fabulous agaves about a foot across already from offshoots taken about a year ago, also plan to put out aeonium, and various other fab succulents, no prob in southern England but a bit of a chance up here

You do very well with your garden, especially considering your location.
I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops next year, with photos too, if possible, please :o)
