Apparently some turf is issued (honestly) with instructions to lay green side up.

Yes, turf laying instructions on a web site stated "lay green side up". I have to stop myself calling anyone stupid as I have been stupid myself in the past.

Well it wouldn't have done me any good...since I always have to try it my way before reading instructions...I am learning to do as my husband did and read instructions before doing anything, but i still forget that part quite often.

The saying is ~
If all else fails, then read the instructions. :o)
