Wow I thought this was a photo when I first looked. Fantastic. This could have been painted from my drumstick primulas earlier this year. They are so lovely early in the year. Well done.

Thanks so much :o) This was painted from a photo I took in the garden of a good friend, she has a beautiful garden full of lovely plants. This is the same friend who helped to design my garden and donated an estate car full of plants to start me off!

Hywel, flowers are no harder to paint than any other subject, it's all about observation, so I'm sure you could do just as well if not better. The only rule is to paint what you love :o)
