You are very welcome Catfinch :0)

The Steam train is in Dereham Norfolk Arlene , They have a team of volunteers doing them up and have put new railway lines down for a few miles to the next town , they run it for tourists and have specials for things like christmas ... Santa special ... for the children . ....... I say for the children but there are far more men there .
The station is looking good ,they have a tea room also the signal box is being worked on .

This is all at the end of my lane , so when they get the steam up and the whistle blowing you really get the smells and sounds .

They have a lot more trains that they are working on .!

~ my husband used to live a few hundred yards from the main east coast line and used to spend time watching the Mallard,Flying Scotsman and Sir Nigel Gresley go thundering through when he was young.
He was also living about half a mile away from George Stephenson's birthplace ~quaint little cottage~and his Great Grandfather was Station Master at Leeds until he retired, spent his last days at Dilston crossing near Hexham.~
~he still maintains a keen interest so if we are in your area we will make sure to visit!~

Down with Dr. Beeching, say I. He did so much damage. I was really cross when he closed down so many stations - hurrah for the volunteers.
