What a lovely surprise!

All bromeliads after blooming will produce pups freely. Within a couple of years you can have several plants.

Thats what I would have expected Delonix, only here there is little humidity but for what I create. This one was two years old when it started dying back and I set it in the dark to let it go. This pup rose from the ashes....so to speak. Most here last a few months at best.

Bromeliads can tolerate very low humidity. My plants in the last month have tolerated relative humidity 10% or less during our Santa Ana Winds.

It's always a nice feeling when you think a plant is dead...then it comes back.
