Arlene, do you think they would let us hibernate in there this winter...lol. It looks so warm and tropical. Much more appealing than what I have to look forward to for the next 5 months !

Hi FL
~5 months! That takes us to April?Do you have heavy snow?Do you get cut off at all?
Last year our Spring was late but normally from about mid Feb on we can have some quite nice days,~heres hoping!
I don't blame you fancying some where warm~My daughter and son in law are going to Florida in February for their wedding anniversary but I will settle for Wisley if they can provide b and b~their cafes and restaurants serve nice meals!

Luckily we don't have much snow here Arlene, but our last frost date is in the last week of April, or the first week of May, so I don't plant any annuals or tender perennials until then. I have a few snowdrops that start blooming in Feburary, but I don't get excited about spring until the daffodills start to bloom in late March and early April. That's when I get spring fever again ...!

~do you get bluebells?not sure if they're only a particularly UK thing ?
the wood at the end of the street has a lovely carpet of Blue in April /May and you know spring has sprung!I also have a bowl of snowdrops which is very pretty!
It's odd that we all have seeds/bulbs from all round the world that we take for granted!

What a wonderful photo Arlene. That's one to gaze at when it gets too cold and frosty outside. It makes you feel so warm. Its beautiful. I didn't realize spanish moss was a bromeliad. You learn something new everyday!!
