Hi Milky - you are responsible for this! Your story about your mother and Norman reminded me that this Potty Man was lurking in my garden somewhere. I bought it for my mother (along with a female version) just before she died. My dad returned them to me when he remarried and moved. That must have been about 30 years ago so it has survived quite well!

He is very interesting for something so old...doesn't show his age at all..love his expression..

Hi TT - no, no female version now. She was overcome by frost several years ago and fell apart! Potty man was standing beside my potted bamboo plant and I had just forgotten about him although he is quite near the back door! This has given him a new lease of life.

Yes, he is terracotta so has lasted very well considering that I now live in an area that suffers heavy frosts in winter. I once had little plants inside him (and his lady friend) but I think that was what caused the the damage. He has a cheerful face not in the least threatening really!
