Well I have finally started on my raised bads. I have made them 12X4 feet but I think that might be a bit on the large side for my back garden.I might shorten them to 10 feet?

Maybe it's the angle but if you have room for them, leave them the size they are to give yourself more opprtunity to grow whatever you like...

They look fine to me.
If you shorten them you won't be able to grow as much.
