Mule Deer

Mom and baby along the roadside of "White Knuckle Highway". There were about 8 deer but I concentrated on the two that were looking at me. The cactus in front of the doe is a staghorn. It's a good thing the grouping were females with their off spring because it is now deer hunting season in this area. I shot them the safe way...with a camera. The females with offspring are protected so a hunter better know what he is shooting at..
