Birch

Birch

This is my Weeping Buckskin birch...I planted it for it's fall display as much as it's beautiful leaves through the summer...it's trunk bark is lighter than it's limbs..very pretty right now.

Thanks Janey..I was looking or a white bark when I found this one. I loved it so ended up with it instead. Of course the name Buckskin tied into my love of horses did me in...lol...

It looks to me as though it is dying! The birch reminds me of the Isle of Mann. Am I going to be punished?

I thought that was understood Janey...did not want to encourage him further down that road...it is difficult enough taming this beast.

this reminds me of a tree my youngest daughter bought for me when we moved into our new house, it looks similar to my KILMARNOCK WILLOW,
the early buds are called catkins,
