March past in the sun for Catfinch!

My eldest son was in the grenadier guards from leaving school at 16yrs till 5yrs ago he is know 44yrs old,when the first gulf war happened he was sent out there,it was hard for those lads then, all the family was having to send parcels out to them all, infact i think most of Britain was sending thing out to the boys, like toilet rolls, shaving gear, underpants, our boys had nothing out there, but the american lads,had everything, they even got macdonalds etc, and our lads did'nt even have the basic things. The best thing was we where having to pay full postage for sending things out to them, what the govenment should have supplied them with in the first place.

~Clarice~ I have never heard of these differences before..we ship a lot of care packages to our soldiers too..where on earth did our men get McDonalds from? Sounds like a great imbalance ..

Great picture. Gerry sbrother was a grenadier guard years ago and guarded the jewels in the tower. I have just bought my poppy.

Saw them years ago and they really sparkle don't they. Such intense colours too.
