Has just had his morning clean. Now weighs 1lb 8oz!! Tripled his original size. Have decided to put him in the greenhouse, before health inspectors arrive to check out the smell! My husband is making a wooden box so that we can put the plastic box in it and insulate the space between for warmth. Once he decides to hibernate and is asleep maybe we can lift him and put him in one of the compost heaps and come Spring he will emerge and just think he had a bad dream!?

Thank you for all your nice comments. "Winged" it because we'd not done it before. Got lots of advice from people who knew about hedgehogs although the RSPCA wasn't much use. I think they were afraid we wanted to bring him in! Hope he does stay Janey, but he will do what he wants to do. We handled him as little as possible in case he became too dependent.
