Beautiful red breast isn't he? Definitely trying to get my attention as his tray was empty!

TT~I tend to put only mealworms in there. On the ground I put a robin & songbird mix that has a variety of things songbirds like in it. I find if it gets wet in the tray it is a job to clean, where as on the ground any soggy leftovers are easily removed, as I have put slate all around the base of the tables.

Sal ~ they have a good selection out. I have 3 tables too and ground feed. Today I added a fat ball feeder as previously they did not get eaten but I have been getting 1 blue tit and 1 coal tit! It worked...they turned up!

That's wonderful. I wish I could get so many birds at my feeder. Congratulations. Are the little ones on the hanging feeders called bullfinches?

That's quite the feeding centre you have going on there! No wonder you get such a nice variety of birds.

Gilli...the little birds with black and red heads are goldfinches.

Gillian ~ Since our weather has gone so cold I have had more birds and variety of birds than I have ever had before. They sure know where to find food!
BB ~ I PM'd Gilli about these and she then posted a pic of their goldfinches as they are so different to ours. It is on her page in case you, like I, have never seen them. :)
