Desert Broom Baccharis sarothroides

This grows along side the roads and in the open deserts. The flowering plumes will appear much larger in a couple of weeks. This one is just starting to bloom. In some people it creates hefty allergic reactions.

It must be the pollen because when they bloom it drives some people's allergies nuts but I'm sure they do not touch the plant. Those little feathery things can become airborn as they are released.
