This flower is similar to a peace lily but it is green in colour, I am wondering if its called the same?

Sometime the flowers will be green...I'm not sure what causes this, however, it may be a large concentration of nitrogen in the soil or possibly the soil ph.

Thanks Delonix, that explains it.

Mine has turned green now. It was white when it opened.
I don't mind. It looks nice green aswell.
I wonder if it's because I've been giving it tea ?

Hywel is there any reason why you have been giving the plant tea?

LOL You must think I'm daft.
I've heard of people giving tea to plants. It's full of potassium and is good for helping them flower.
It's been done for generations here.
I always make tea in a teapot with loose tea. I find tea bags are too strong and I only like very weak tea.
I always make too much so when it's gon cold I give it to the plants.

LOL, no I was just curious Hywel, coz I used to put used cold tea leaves on the base of my lace ferns and asparagus ferns before which kept the leaves looking lush and healthy. I also used to put raw cracked egg shells as well.

Now my gran did that with egg shells.
She also put the shells in water for a while and then give it to the plants.
As the water sank into the compost she'd say " Look how they're enjoying it" - lol

Exactly!!! The shells are put in water for a while, I used ice water for these ferns. Sometimes I spill in a few drops of beer as well, don't ask me why but my brother reckons it was good for the plants, maybe the malt in it I suppose.

I think I'll have to try that :o)

Perhaps the tannic acid in the tea is good for the acid loving plants too. I've used tea on my plants too. I also put used coffee grounds around my roses outside. They seem to enjoy that.
