I have heard of sundogs but never knew for sure what they were...thanks for posting...

Something to do with ice crystals in the atmosphere is it GT??

It occurs in the summer as well, though less frequently. We've alot more atmosphere for the light to pass through up here as well. Might be that. I love it every time.

Spectacular.Guess you deserve these sights when contending with an Alaskan winter must be such a thrill to see.

These are really amazing Bonkers. I definately appreciate the extras from having so little sunlight. Right now its like sunrise/sunset for 7 hours straight. Everything is frosty blue and pink.
