Many thanx for giving me an idea for planting around our scarecrow, Jackie!

These would look great by the scarecrow David, Another though would be Purple Majesty ( Millet ), It's an annual, but what a contrast that would make! Just a thought!

What a great suggestion, Jackie - and I know where to get some, too! Do you think that the millet would ATTRACT birds, rather than scare them, which is what I would really like? That would be fun. Failing this, I could buy budgerigar millet seed stems at the pet store and have them protruding from the scarecrow. Imagine - a scarecrow who can't even scare birds, just like the story/movie, and a great photo opportunity. The kids would love that. Many, many thanx for that!

Are these Helichrysum "Straw Flowers" or "Everlasting Flowers" perhaps?
