Yam Plant growing in plantation

My husband planted this last month. It takes 9months before the rootcrop will be ready for the pot.

I didn't know it took that long for Yams to grow. Wow. Looks lovely and healthy.

You definately would have them growing in your forests Marguerite, they grow wild here too, but some people prefer to grow them in their plantation. I used to remember as a child I used to accompany my Aunt to the forest to go digging for these wild yams.
