This looks pretty.
How important is it, that you can see the little door from your house ?

Having it placed here, would allow you to catch a glimpse of it on the way back to the house and up some steps. There is a Red Acer to the right of the picture, which would give it a bit more colour during the summer.

Need to think a bit about what might drop onto it, and spoil the look of it.
For instance, try not to make a convenient perch immediately above it, so that you get lots of bird droppings down the door. Likewise, nothing above in the way of foliage or flowers with a strong dye, for instance, which could be especially staining if bits dropped down on the door.

In other words, be aware of what is above the door. LOL.
