Helpful husband dug out the poorly Eleagnus and we planted the new Ligustrum. It has left an enormous space to fill!

Thanks Clarice - you are both so right! I don't like large areas where there could be lovely shrubs and plants!
Hmmm. A trip to the Garden Centre after Christmas, I think. I have a pink Lavatera on the right - and wouldn't a white one look great with it!
