Dead insects and berries in lard and I add seed on top.
There was tension at the feeding station yesterday, a stand off between the blackbirds and starlings, Attila the starling won.

They never give in those starlings do they! :)

I think only a starling would be that bold with a pigeon around. Their size is intimidating but they're probably quite gentle.....but they do frighten my thrushes and I find that hard to take.

There have been some royal battles with the blackbirds and starlings especially during this extra cold spell, I dont think many people feed the birds in my village.
