Thank you all, the red plant surrounding the decking are red coleus plants.

I should have guessed mine look like that...a little leggy. My Coleus have been in the ground for almost 4 years and have woody stems...and when that happens the termites eat the stems...then they die. LOL!

I'll take cuttings before they die though.

Yes you should get cuttings before they die as those termites don't sound good at all,don't you apply anything to the soil to rid them? They grow well here, I find they thrive better in mostly shady areas as compared to growing in full sunlight.
